Hello
Any advice would be great on this - due to go visit family in 7 weeks for a wedding & we have been offered use of one of the family cars whilst we are there - heres the problem - do I need specific australia insurance for the 2 weeks? My own company states that I may need a Green Card to be insured out of EU?
Any help?

it may shed some light on in, as far as insurance is concerned the family will need to add you as an additional driver to their policy, insurance is taken out in the country of origin.
Hope that helps

Miss P is correct.
I have driven in other countries, including the UK (where I am regarded as a foreign resident) and friends and family have had me included on their policies. I have never been asked for a green card, in the past a green card was issued to enable you to drive your own car abroad. The insurance company may want to see a copy of your driving licence so don't forget to take it with you. Ask your family to contact their ins. company to find out what their requirements are.
