just going to post that the e111 equivalent IS NOT valid in Turkey.
Just make sure you have adeqate travel insurance.

thanks, i knew there was a new card but couldn't remember the name of it! anyway the reason i was asking is because my boyfriend got admitted to hospital on friday so was just checking out the situation as we are due to fly out on the 15th June, but the doctor has since advised that we can't go anyway!! boo hoo.

this card or any is only valid in the eu its not valid in turkey make sure you have good travel insurance
