We are thinking of booking this hotel next sept on half board basis has any one been recently what is the food like and are there safes in the rooms.
Have heard its getting refurbished in winter can any one confirm this also is it close to shops pubs ect

Cant comment on the food etc as i did'nt stay there, but it is in a very good position, virtually on the beach, and a short walk from all the main streets. I would check all the review sites for the other info you need.

I have found other very good reviews thankfully not many bad ones because we are staying at the Efes the first week of October this year so will let you know how we get on.

Stayed here twice the last time in 2005.As stated above the hotel backs onto the sand and shingle beach, the food in the hotel is superb! From conversations I have had with other visitors who were HB they thought they would have been better off BB as the choice and portions were not great. We were there BB but ate in the hotel most nights as the food was so good and plentyful! The rooms are a good size with double and single bed in the room with ample wardrobe space. Balconys are a bit tight for space but adequate.If you llike an early night on holiday then be warned it can be a bit noisy from outside bars and restaurants until midnight when things became much more tranquil!LOL!(hope this is still the case?) Staff were brilliant!Sorry can't comment on any proposed refurb!

I am going to the Efes Inn in 4 weeks time, wil post a review when i get back.
Seemingly they have been going to refurbish it eveyr winter for god knows how long, I have had a bit confusion over my booking as i was told via email and on my confirmation that i am to be in the new annexe of the hotel, i spoke to someone who was there in June and there is no new annexe,but they have added a new 5th floor to the hotel.
It does get mainly good reviews the only bad thing being the dodgy air con,as i say i will post a review when i get back.

Anyone know if they have refurbished the Efes Inn this year, got some good reveiws but Airconditioning seems to be a problem

I hope so. We're going in late April. Read mixed reviews about it.
Everyone says Icmeler is a really nice place so we're looking forward to it.
