Discussions regarding holidays in Turkey.
Elaine, I joined this year and needed an invoice from a company as proof of VAT status. Luckily for me i used the company i work for and got two cards. Makro is good for some things and not for others as the price tends to be higher. Hope this helps

Our Local Bells Store sells it .. 59p a 250ml bottle!
I have also seen it on sale in a few off Licences as well.

I brought some last week from a Jacksons Store, 59p per bottle, must admit I think it tastes better if you drink it straight from the bottle. :D

Garry,

Costco in Glasgow does have it. If you go there and it's run out head 8 miles North West and I will give you what I have left maturing in my shed. (moved to the fridge before drinking of course). Also, I know our part of the world isn't reknowned for it's weather but when we do get the sun and you close your eyes with an efes in your hand ....

Hiya, I'm from Barnsley too, I bought it last year from Rythm & Booze at Monk Bretton, don't know if this is near to you, or even if they have it in stock this year, good luck anyway

Think I'll get myself to Makro to sample some!

How much is it in the pubs and supermarkets over in Turkey?
Reply
In the bars, about 3 or 4 ytl (£1.50 ish) a pint.
In the supermarkets, I'm sure I saw packs of 4 bottles for about 4 mil in the Migros last month when I was there - might even have been less than that.

Efes well it is ok, but after a few I found it a bit gassy. I tried the Efes dark a few times and found it much nicer, but didn't realise that it was 6.5%
