El corte ingles isn't a shopping centre, its a department store like Debenhams or John Lewis. It is at the top of the main shopping street leading up from the harbour, just keep the castle on your right and you can't miss it. We have always gone up to Alicante by car, but you can get buses from most resorts on the Costa Blanca to Alicante and the main bus station is a short walk away from the centre of the town.

Its not what we would call a mall, there are a lot of smaller shops round the main entrance. The kids clothes and shoes in there are amazing. The make-up and perfume are'nt a lot cheaper than at home. But its well worth a visit just to be nosey!!! My Dad hates it (I wonder why) Mum looooves it
