We are going to El Duque aparthotel in July 2008. Anyone been recently? I read in an earlier bulletin that you cannot hire kettles, toasters does anyone know if this has changed.
What about pool towels? can you hire towels each day? its so much easier than having to take your own beach towels.
never stayed there but
buy cheap towels over there and then leave them, must be cheaper than hiring

Anywhere I have hired towels in the past I only paid a refundable deposit so its cheaper to hire them. They can also be changed everyday.
Stayed here a couple of years ago and could not hire kettle or toaster. They did hire out towels, cant remember the cost, I think I paid an amount per week that allowed you to change them as many times a day as you liked.
Nice complex, really quiet, would have returned but their one bed apartments are too small for my kids and they dont have two bed apartments.

We have been there in December 2007 (for the 14th time...
) and we liked this place very much.
But now we have bought our own apartment...
Concerning kettles and toasters, you cannot hire this there.
Pool towels is no problem, for the first time you ask for these towels you must pay a deposit for it but than you can change them every day for free if you want.
On your last day you will get your deposit back, so in fact the towels are for free.

Merged with existing topic which may have some information.
I have also asked for these apartments to be added to our Reviews site and would be delighted if anyone who has stayed there can add a review.

HI , I stayed here a couple of years ago, I did a review a few days ago but somehow it disappeared!! Dony know what I did wrong, anyway I'm not doing it again.
I liked this place, its up a hill about 10 mins from the beach. I went in February and it was really quiet then, lots of privately owned apartments, many of which were empty at the time. It meant the pool areas were very quiet, lots of sun loungers available, only one pool was heated, the other was lovely but much too cold at that time of year.
The entertainment was mostly for German families, we didnt hang around at night, we prefer to go out.
Apartment were a standard size, the only problem was the sofa beds in the lounge area were joined together in an L shape and could not be separated, they were a little small for my teenage sons, which is the reason I would not return here, I prefer to get a 2 bed apartment.
Anything else you want to know? It was a couple of years ago that I went. I like the area and try to return each year, usually go in April now.
