I'm wrestling with this one myself at the moment... we've had all our holidays this year, but after my daughter suffered a somewhat traumatic and upsetting experience 12 days ago I feel a need to have something to look forward to in October half-term (which round here is 27 Oct - 4 Nov).
Found a really fantastic all-inclusive deal for Benidorm (£1150ish for three of us for ten nights, incl. flights, transfers, the lot) but I'm doubtful about the weather in mainland Spain at that time of the year, so I've been scouring every website I can think of to find a similar priced deal in the Canaries (must be all-inclusive) but so far have only managed to find self-catering or the odd half-board in that price bracket.
I love the Canaries and have no hesitation about going there, and wouldn't actually mind spending an extra couple of hundred compared to the Benidorm price, but I've been wondering where else I could go all-inclusive for that kind of money at that time of year.
Any ideas anyone? Anyone know of any £1000-1300 all-inc deals for three (flying from Manchester - Canaries or otherwise) for late October/early November?

Have you thought of Turkey? The Antalya area is open all year round. We went fo Belek Nov 14th last year. Sunbathing weather everyday. Cool at night but as all entertainment is in hotel it was not a problem. There are some really good A/I deals around for Oct. Try Travel Republic, Eclipse. First Choice etc . hope this helps. Denny

hi, cyberspacecadette, my friend only lives about an hour and a half away from benidorm, and the weather is still usually fab end of october, ( we are going to visit her 14th oct ) the price you say for that holiday is fab ! get it booked !

Hi cyberspakadette, have you looked at doing DIY? Jet2 holidays have Gran Canaria starting from £419 per person, they fly out from Manchester on the 29th Oct, and Tenerife from £434 flying out on the 28th. Both A/I, both in bungalows. I didn't look at all availability, just had a quick look. Tried a few others and all showing no availability.... ...school holidays for you, everyone must be after some sun! I've been browsing Travel Republic and found a couple of deals for flights & AI accomodation for around £1400 for three of us in Lanzarote for 10 days - a bit more expensive than the Benidorm one, but I love Lanzarote .
I'm just in the process of wondering whether we can get away with 10 days (which would mean son missing two days of college and losing his EMA that week ) We could always do 7 days but I never feel a week is long enough!

Agree with Lynn----------Red Sea!!!! Totally guaranteed sunshine!!!!!!!! plus lovely people, great food aand some fab beaches--------and-----great snorkelling!!!!!
