Is it correct that no english radio stations operate in Mallorca ?
I dont even seem to be able to find a frequency for Holiday FM, which covers the majority of other resorts around the med and canaries.
I find this extremly strange given the number of briitish who live and frequent the island. Obviously reception will be available via sat - but this is not much use unless you are staying in a Villa, as most hotels that I have visited dont even show anything but Sky / CNN News and Eurosport on the Tv let alone english radio
Can anyone explain why they dont have any stations here or if there are any what the frequency's are across the island.
If not - Guess it will be MP3 player and good book !

have a look at this link and see what it says about radio &tv. Don't forget thoughthat lots of stations play British music.

Most expats listen to the many UK radio stations transmitted through the Astra 2 (SKY) satellite system. However, try stations such as KISS or Calvia which play largely uninterrupted music. You never know, you might pick up a few words of spanish from the news bulletins!
http://www.solarradio.org they state they are next in line for a 24hour slot but dont know how long off that may be. Leapy Lee is a DJ here every Sunday 11am - 2pm. You can get the prog 24 hours online too!.
I believe Solar Radio does some FM broadcasts but not sure how much. On their website There website does not make it clear.
Radio Luna appears to be an English Radio station broadcast from Santa Ponsa, which I know is across the Island. (Am I right in thinking this is the first English station on the Island for a number of years) unlike so many of the other popular resorts in Spain.
is there any English speaking radio stations on the island?
Never seen it written down - so don't know if it's Luna, or Lunar or Majorca or Mallorca, but it's an English style Radio station operating on 100.30. Listen to it in the car sometimes.

judging by the website it's not been worked on for months if the weather is anything to go off
you can pick up the british radio stations via the sky digital
