Hi All,
I found the best A/I hotel in Bodrum that I have ever stayed at anywhere in Turkey this summer so I thought I'd share it with you as I know most of you are looking to book your holidays for next summer. I can also add a review if they add the hotel to the list.
I stayed there twice over the summer and although I really wanted to have one last, short holiday there at the end of the summer, I couldn't get away from work...
Anyhow, it is the Club Voyage Charm Hotel, located in Bardakci, which is the nearest bay to Bodrum town centre, just on the other side of the Marina, but really peaceful and quiet. The hotel caters for adults only so kids under 14 are not allowed, which is fantastic if you don't have a family yourself as most A/I hotels are full of kids which can be off putting to some..
Most of their rooms have an amazing view of the bay of Bardakci, and the Bodrum Castle. As far as I know, only a small number of their rooms don't have a sea view.
The first time that I was there, during my first dinner service, I was approached by 3 different managers, the latest being the General Manager, to welcome me to the hotel and ask me if everything was satisfactory. All the staff were really warm and friendly but still very professional, which can sometimes be quite difficult to find in Turkey! The food was absolutely fantastic, you never saw a plastic cup anywhere in the resort, they even change the table linnen after each guest! There is a lovely A'la Carte fish restaurant on the beach which you can go to once during your stay (you can of course go more than once but only the first one is free of charge). One of the best meals that I had this summer...
Just writing about it makes me want to go there again...
Hi Hayal...thanks for that it sounds great...more so because you are based in turkey and you get to go to several hotels, so one that stands out from the rest is allways useful to know...thanks again Gavin
I saw this hotel in the Thomas Cook brochure and tried to book it for October from my local airport but it was fully booked.I think I will try and go in May 07.It is owned by the same company as the Club Voyager Sorgun in Side.
There are 5 Club Voyage hotels in total, Club Voyage Sorgun (Antalya), Club Voyage Charm (Bardakci - Bodrum), Club Voyage Torba (Torba - Bodrum), Club Voyage Bodrum Village (Golturkbuku - Bodrum), Club Voyage Uludag. They are run and sold by the tour operator etstur in Turkey.
