Our friends have told us the exchange rate is much better in Rhodes than over here, although now the Bank of England have indicatated there may not be another interest rate cut in the short time the pound is looking a little stronger, so the exchange rate may improve slightly - although its getting a little close for us. The best rate I've found over here is with Travelex to order online and pick up at the airport - earlier today they were giving over 1.4 euros per pound.

Temperatures in Lindos where they were staying are generally, I believe, amongst the warmest on the island, but must days it was 38/39 in shade with some days over 40 - when they left last Wednesday the temperature was 46.
