We used sterling travellers cheques last time we were in Menorca and intend to use them again when we go again in Sept this year. We found we got a better exchange rate than taking just euros but you have to shop around and not just use the hotel or banks. We found a place in Cala Galdana that gave a better rate than the banks in Mahon!! And on the one day that it was closed, I went into one of the hotel receptions and the rate was really low!
