HI everyone,
Does anyone know if anywhere in El Gouna shows F1 racing? Im going to be there for the 3rd race of the season on the 2nd April and I'd really like to see it.
Thanks!
I can't help at all with regard to where you may be able to see the race....sorry! When I see 'F1' anywhere on the forum I have to have a nose at the post!
For anyone who can help, this will be the AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX so if it's shown live anywhere it would be early in the morning.
Good luck, hope you get to see the race

I'd take a bet that it would be screened at "Jobo's" Bar in Tamr Henna (main) square - as they have a big screen and cover most sporting fixtures. May not be live though - time difference from Australia ?????
Thanks for the suggestion! guess I'll have to investigate once Im there!
I'll make some enquiries for you when I go out in a fortnight and will come back if I can get any definite info at that stage ??
We are staying in the Coral Sea Resort. I'm not sure if they'll be showing it at the hotel, it doesn't mention a Sports bar or anything.
Any help would be appreciated!

Kimi for WDC 2006!!! (ha, sorry just had to add that at the bottom there!)
Sorry - we will be in Sharm El Sheik not El Gouna!
I'll be staying at the Sheraton Miramar thanks TAH-M
http://www.ghibliraceway.com/ really nice place
you all talking about F1 dont know if any of you been to the karting track its great, this link
Most hotels in Sharm have RTL in their rooms (Germanys most successful tv station) and RTL broadcasts every race and every qualifying session live. Enjoy the race!
Had the pleasure of being there on Friday night last week to watch Egypt win Africa Cup and atmosphere was amazing - major party!!!
Fantastic, thankd TAH-M! what was the weather like last week?
Initially the best I have experienced in Feb - was still in a t-shirt at 7.30pm!! By early last week however the wind picked up to it's usual strength and it was actually quite chilly at times - no way would you be going out in the evening without a decent thickness of fleece, and I resorted to long sleeves for wandering around in daytime too. not so bad if you could get a good sheltered spot, but sunglasses were more in order to keep the sand at bay than anything else!!
