Hi
What factor face creams do you use when on holiday?
I never really bothered much before (naughty i know)
But I am creeping towards 30 and I am getting my first signs of aging ie especially round the eyes quite bad.
Can anyone recommend any good ones I still want my face to tan it seems to be the hardest part of me to tan.
but I want to protect myself aswell.
However, it's worth bearing in mind that smoking will do just as much to age your skin as the sun will. So, if you are a smoker, using a higher SPF cream will make little difference - the damage and accelerated ageing will continue regardless of how much you protect your complexion from the sun.

I give my usual moisturiser time to soak in then use a Piz Buin All Day Long on top. If I was actually sunbathing though, rather than just going about my daily business I would use it more than once a day, just to be on the safe side.
I am not a smoker never smoked at all but wearing contact lenses means i do stretch the skin around my eyes aswell.
I use Elemis/Liz Earle stuff all year around but this has no spf so cant use on holiday
I have been sent a £5 voucher for no7 from boots so will have a look around
Thanks
I use Johnsons SPF 15 when I'm on my hols but to be honest my usual daily face cream that I use all year has SPF15 in it but I prefer to use proper suncream on hols. Not that I let my face get any sun really - I wear hats and if I'm lying in the sun I always have my face covered (that's the best defence against wrinkles, there's always Johnsons holiday skin for face......)
I'm a big Elemis and Decleor fan.
Go to http://www.QVC.co.uk and in the search box type in the following numbers.
Item Number: 221845

I do like Elemis and I actually use this one, although it looks like QVC are out of stock at the mo. CLICK HERE

Mari, for your voucher you may like to look at Boots No 7 tinted moisturizer which has SPF 15 - I like it very much (got 1 today myself, I also had a £5 voucher)
Shirley - I might aswell get some of that as ive got £5 off anyway. Thanks
Sanji - I get all my stuff off qvc too i get loads of tsvs (beauty ones) as for decleor I swear by porlogene gel ive got some scars and it works wonders. Ive used the elemis tan accelerator which was good but never tried the face cream in the gold tube ive only had sos and pro collagen marine cream theyve got a day coming up on qvc april 15th tsv (todays special value) Ill see what theyve got.
I'm going to try the Elemis product and see what that's like - it might be better for using over a moisturiser which is great when just walking about rather than going to the beach.
I also have the Elemis sun wrinkle cream which you've spoken about - that's SPF25 and is very nice, but I prefer the Decleor product instead. I'm having a full body massage next week and will be buying one or two more sun products to take away with me. I lived in South Africa for 13 years whilst growing up and therefore know how important SPFs are. I never use anything less than SPF15 on my body and SPF25 on my face.

me and my kids are very fair so i just use the same factor as the kids.... last year we used nivea factor 50+.... worked really well, hardly got a tan at all.... lol
Have just ordered some more Avon Bronze anti ageing face cream SPF30. Two for the price of one at the moment
sanji . might order that from QVC. must admit im not as careful with my face on holiday as i should be . usually put some of my normal sun lotion on my face always Ambro solaires factor 15 .
On the suncare page, it is the 3rd picture from the end. Face moisture cream £9.00 BOGOF. I like it because normal suncream for the body seems too greasy and makes my eyes sting
If you put 'Comeback' for the voucher code, it is Free p&p plus 10% off today
Let me know if you can't find it.
Yes, that's the one
the free gift looks good too .might have to make up a £25 order . maybe stock up on my soft and fresh dry spray oil mozzie repelant for Turkey.
went to boots today and cant beleive how expensive number 7 is now
its gone mad since it was on a show on the bbc and is really selling out quick cos apparently they proved it worked!
its almost as expensive as clinique now
Have just ordered some more Avon Bronze anti ageing face cream SPF30
I have just used this product for 2 weeks in Fuerteventura - I hate using thick suncreams on my face; this one was nice and light and left my skin soft but not greasy. I'll probably get some more before we go to Ibiza in August.
In my Avon book the current offer on Bronze is 2 for £10, 3 for £13 or 4 for £15.
I have also used another Avon product on my face - it's a 'tint-releasing' moisturiser with SPF20 - not really high enough for on holiday but good to use at home.
