Me and the girlfriend stayed in Lindos a couple of years ago and had a day/night out in Faliraki. Whilst it wasn't as wild as it once was about 7 or 8 years ago (when I went with the lads) it was still very lively with lots of choices of bars and clubs. Theres basically two main streets on which most of the bars/clubs are situated. These vary from places blasting out loud music to places with live acts on, to karaoke bars and quiter family places doing quizzes etc. Theres also plenty of other bars and restaurants spread out around the resort.
Daytime activities depend on how much you want to do. The beach is pretty good from what I recall with a good choice of watersports. If you want to visit other resorts on the island the two obvious places to go are Rhodes Town and Lindos both of which are well worth a visit. Theres plenty of organised excursions to try or you can hire a car or a quad to explore the island.
