we have done lots of all inclsives in lots of places including turkey and to be quite honest with you I wouldnt recommend all inclusive in turkey. For one the food is typically turkish and if your kids are like mine then they wouldnt touch it and i'm not a fussy eater and I struggle with it. Also the drinks tend to be limited and usually finish a 11pm. We have just come back from Altinkum all inclsive and we spent most of the time out. I think it is that cheap to eat and drink out you tend to waste money all inclusive. This is only my opinion but I hope it helps. The only one I can think of is the pineta park in marmaris I know this has plenty going on for the kids.

there are 3 exellent A/Is in the centre of Olu Deniz so in an ideal location.checkout the reviews for olu deniz resort hotel, club sun city and Belcekiz beach where we have just returned from . We have also stayed at the sun city and have found food to be excellent at both with plenty of choice for everyone. also the Aegean dream resort in Turgutries near bodrum is getting excellent reviews and we hope to go there next year.

I'd recommend Lykia World in Olu Deniz, but it's very pricey. Not AI but full board plus so you get soft drinks, beer and wine with meals. Beautiful place with a huge amount for kids including their own paradise with lots of water slides and gorgeous restaurants.

Hi milly .the club belcekiz beach is only available through portland/thomson and the club sun city and olu deniz resort hotel are available from quite a few of the tour operators. You have the best of both with either of these 3 as you have the bars and shops of olu deniz right outside your hotel and its a lovely resort , enough there to keep you busy in a scenic location and the hassle really isnt too bad.far less than we found in icmeler . plenty of trips to go on from there too if you desire :D

I havent spoken to any person inside Turkey thats enjoyed an All inclusive package, And I have been on 14 occasions, Yes you will find Posts on here that will say they enjoyed it, But remember can you trust one persons report, Turkey has Thousands of amazing places to eat in and im sure most members will agree that, Go self catering I urge you.

Belcekiz beach is a fabulous all inclusive hotel in Olu Deniz. It is right on the sea front and in the heart of the resort. it is fantastic. There is a thread on the hotel in this forum, and lots of reviews, which are excellent in the review section.

We have done both all inclusive and self catering in Olu and Hisaronu and enjoyed both very much. It all comes down to personal taste whether you go for all inclusive or self catering. The self catering holiday still worked out a lot cheaper even with spending money taken into account :D

I go to turkey two sometimes three times a year, been all over turkey and every time all inclusive ,never once can i say i did not enjoy it or get value for money ,anyone with kids would be off there head going self catering ,all you do is pay for this pay for that ,its drinks ,ice cream every five minutes, when all inclusive the kids just go and get it when they want ,there is far more choice of food ,you go to the buffet take something if you dont like it leave it and go get something else .If you go to a restuaurant and get something you dont like you are stuck with it .As far as i am concerned there is no comparisson and it will always be all inclusive for me . I was in the sun zeynep belek in june this year and met a woman on her own she told me the only money she spent was at the airport and on the plane going there she never spent one penny while at the sun zeynep,as she had no reason to ,try that self catering.

Hi Blue peter

Thank god some one else enjoys A/I like we do

Our day starts with breakfast always fresh meats ,or fruit, cereals cornflakes, coco pops ,sugar puffs

Boiled eggs, every day fried eggs, and omelette's, every other day mushrooms, tomatoes, etc etc yogurts, toast, jam etc etc 7am till 10am

Lunch 12am-1.30pm chicken, fish ,casserole's ,chips, soup ,salad etc etc

Snack bar pizza, lasagna, mash potato, salad, garlic bread etc etc 2-4 pm

4.30- 5-.30 pm cake, and biscuits

7pm -9.30pm dinner soup, pasta, meat dish ,chicken ,chips, potato's, veg fish, fried onions, peppers, tomatoes, Turkish pizza, salad, good selection and a very good sweet trolley.

Most A/I provide soup at midnight but not all do..

You can never go hungry there is always some thing for some one

If you get a good deal on A/I holiday you don't mind eating out now and then like we do, i do agree people who pay a couple off thousand pounds for a A/I holiday and don't like it they don't want to be spending extra on food.

We have only ever had one bad A/I in Turkey

There is some real good deals out there its just finding them we have just came back from Marmaris in July 5 adults and 2 kids we only paid £600 for the hotel alone A/I 4 star for all off us.

We could not have had a hotel on a S/C basic and eaten out all time for that price especially drinks all day every day it topped 56 deg when we were there and kids were having maybe 10 drinks per hours it all mounts up and when your S/C and having a few kids ain't cheap.

But each to there own we love A/I and find it really good for the kids and i agree some off the adult drinks are poor but get a good hotel and there are spot on like the one we have just stayed at the cocktails were lovely really strong and tasty.

Even the vodka you did know you had a drink after a few vodka's yet in a A/I we stayed at in May the vodka was poor but we didn't mind we never paid a lot off money for hotel so we don't complain.

Like i said previous report best A/I was in Belek Club Asteria its out off this world totally fantastic. :D

I would go A/I every time and would echo everything that peter and celine have said . we have always had fantastic food on an A/I with a wide variety of choice and plenty going on to keep children and teenagers busy. yes you will always find the bad ones but this is why we spend our lives on HT so as we dont make that mistake.  and I always come home at least a half a stone heavier. please let us not turn this tread into a A/I versus S/C slanging match again. the Question from millymol asked for advice on a good A/I and we should be helping with that.

we have been all inclusive twice to Belchekiz in Olu Deniz, we hated AI so much we are going again !!!
tried s/c last year, yes it was ok, small pool, kids asking for things all the time ( how dare they ) AI gets rid of this problem.

this time to Olu Deniz resort, In fact must go , planes leaving................

just take spending money, considerably less than if you were S/c off course you get bored and want to explore, as for the food, never had a problem, I guess it depends how good the hotel is, you get what you pay for.

If you had to put your hand in your pocket for everything thats available in all inclusive you would be skint after a couple of days. Ok. you can get breakfasts for £2 , meals for £6-£7 whatever ,but thats it you are stuck with that , you cant beat going up to the buffet picking what you want ,then go back for as much as you want ,again and again if you want .
That plus all your drink great.

hi

yes you need to go to dalaman to get to olu deniz its about 38 miles away and around 1 hr to get there. ive visited both places lots of times and we prefer olu deniz over marmaris area. we stayed in lykia world which is full board + and is fantastic i highly recommend it but its a bit on the pricey side but worth it. good luck with where ever you decide to book

Hi!

Might as well put my 2 pence worth in here and mention the Hemera in Side, you fly into Antalya and the transfer is about 50/60 minutes. It is set on a lovely sandy beach on the outskirts of Side but easy access to the main town by either 25 minutes walk along the beach or dolmus or taxi right outside the hotel. The hotel Hemera has just had a major refurb and is quite simply superb. The food is superb, the beer is Efes! and all the alcoholic drinks were precisely that, alcoholic!Great ppools and slides for the kids, cakes and ice cream from lunchtime onwards lovely fresh snacks at the beach bar to! Just had a quote from Thomas Cook for next June, £1630 for the 2 of us, we think this is a fantastic deal flying from Glasgow, for a 4/5 star hotel which met and exceeded our expectations on our recent holiday there in July. Don't think I've seen a negative review of the Hemera anywhere, but do your research and look at the reviews, remember there "seems" to be a difference in quality between AI hotels in the Antalya region and other tourist areas.
