Hi, can anyone recommend a good hotel or preferably a complex in Nerja which would be suitable for families? It would have to have a childrens club and nightly entertainment and be fairly central.

The Riu Monica would probably be your best bet. It's right by Torrecilla beach in the west end of town. There aren't a great deal of hotels in the centre of Nerja, the Hotel Balcon de Europa might be worth a look too, this is right in the centre but I'm not sure if there are kids clubs etc.
The other hotels (Plaza Cavana, Villa Flamenca. Perla Marina, Marinas de Nerja, Nerja Club etc) are either not really family hotels, or too far out of town (IMHO).

No kids club at Balcon, stayed there last year. Swimming pool in more of a plunge pool. Limited sun beds.

Nerja club and Villa flemenca both have evening entertainment but definatly not what i would call family places best for couples [nothing for the kids]
