Try zorbas site, link below. The people who post there will be able to advise.
There is also a couple of webcams so you can check out the beaches although the town beach looks a bit bad at the moment after the recent bad weather,

We looked at these 2 years ago while staying in Stoupa, Kosmar were the agents. The location is excellent with great views over Kalogria beach and the sea. They are on a headland which separates Stoupa from Kalogria and this beach is often shown in brochures as Stoupa beach which it is'nt. The nearest taverna is only a couple of minutes walk and has the same great views as the studios, it was our favourite lunchtime stop. The centre of Stoupa is an easy 10 min. walk.

There is a big discussion going on in the above mentioned (zorbas) camboard about Kosmar pulling out of about half of their brochured accomodation in Stoupa. i would check that first to see if Fanara is one of the affected properties.

Fanari is not one of the affected properties. I am only aware of one property affected and perhaps it is not a case of Kosmar pulling out but maybe being kicked out. Brochures are printed a long time before contracts are signed for another year with the owners. In the meantime the owners may have had a better deal offered by another company. There are a number of companies of other nationalities moving in to Stoupa.

I stayed at the Fanari last Sept (06) - a cracking studio (for 4, but we paid more to share it for 2) and the views across Kalogria and the hills were lovely. The owner lives below and she is very helpful if you want extra pillows, air con on etc. We looked at a couple of the other studios as they were being vacated on the day of return to the uk and one of them was a bit pokey. It is certainly worth paying more to get a studio for 4. You get a large kitchen area too. The gardens are extremely well looked after. There is a taverna as mentioned just a few strides away that does very good food. We ate there a couple of times. If you're going to Stoupa I would highly recommend the studios. They don't appear in the Kosmar brochure so if you're in 'the know' about them you might be able to snap them up on line. Happy holidaying! If I go again (very likely cos I love Stoupa) that's where I'll be staying....all being well. Bev
