You can't book, but it is a very popular place, and most nights (in peak season) there's a queue stretching down the road. We were Paphos in early August, and people were queuing at FM by 6.45pm. It's situated on the TOTK Road - basically, you will need to drive down Poseidonos Ave (coast road) towards the Harbour, turning right at the T-Junction. Follow this road to the main set of lights and turn left (signposted for Coral Bay etc) onto TOTK Road. Stay on this road for approx 1 mile, looking for Fat Mamas on your left (it's opposite a Japanese Restaurant).
If you have kids they'll love it.........as do most adults. It's basically two restauarants in one (kitchen), as you can also buy food from Willys Rib Ranch (next door). So you can have a variety of Tex/Mex and Pasta dishes.
HTH.

Thanks for the info and directions - I think its a bus or taxi job - but will certainly give it a try.
Went there for the first time this year, and it was great, we arrived at 6.15 and it didnt take long to get seated. They don't rush you either, so didnt leave till after 8.30. On the second time we arrived 6.45 and had to wait (we were a party of 6), but we waited in the bar area, and then they come to get you. We still got 10% off the bill for being there before 7 p.m.
Hi, does anyone know where in paphos fat mamma's restaurant is, and how far from the akteon , i have read a lot about it and it is one of the restaurants i want to try, thanks
Yes, from Kato Paphos go to the Tombs road traffic lights, turn left towards the Coral Bay and after half a mile it is on your left hand side..it is on the Tombs of the Kings road, if you are here in peak season you may have to wait for a table, they did not take bookings the last time we used it. (last year)
You can catch a bus from the Akteon to Fat Mamas. They run very regularly.
a long walk) but the Tombs road road is dangerous and badly lit be very careful, booze and the Tombs road do not mix!! many have been involved in road accidents there. (this weekend in fact)

Yes buses are available and frequent, taxi's are reasonable and available at anytime, you could walk (http://www.holidayhotels.com/hotel.php?HID=20031203141530817143
hi, just got back from paphos and loved it, we didnt get to try fat mamma's but now know where it is. Tried sienna, chloe's and pepperoni pizza, which were all good, but have to say, although sienna had nice food it was overpriced for what we got, if going back i would do the set menu as they seem far better value for money.
We are following in your footsteps on 23 May.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the area at least.

hi parky 45, i really enjoyed the akteon, i will be writing a full review in the next couple of days. We knew before we went it was a bit out of the way, but it is only a 5 min walk to bus stop and there are a few restaurants there as well or a taxi is 5.00 into paphos. There is a nice coastal path in front of hotel which leads to a small beach a few minutes away. The views are lovely and the sunset amazing. We were all inclusive and i found the food good, especially breakfast there was loads of choice. The lunch and dinner was nice as well, and you could have wine or other drinks with it, we ate out a few times just for a bit of variety. \to be honest i was a bit wary going all inclusive as i had a picture of people sitting around drinking all day and leaving rubbish lying about but it wasnt like that at all, the people we met there were very nice and there was a good mix of nationalities. The only negatives i have are there were a lot of ants in apt but suppose that cant be helped, we just used a spray and that soon sorted them out. Any more questions i'll be happy to answer
We stayed at the Pavlo Napa in Ayia napa last time in Cyprus and I only gained 10 kilos then. I don't think I'll be trying to top that, but I could equal it.
5 weeks to go now and I'll be married to a pensioner and in a foreign country.
What more could I ask for?
Cheers again.

Ooo sounds interesting - are you marrying there ?

Nice one Kath. No, love, my wife turns 60 on the 25th.
41yrs2months and 1 day. How I've suffered!
We didn't use it at all, but it's popularity speaks for itself.
We have never queued even in August for longer than 10 mins at that time. They take people in a few at a time, so it helps space out ordering etc. When it is really really busy, they seat you in a bar area until a table is ready.
I to believe they make you wait outside even though there are empty tables...it is a good trick though.
The food was lovely it is a lively place. and the portions are huge.
