I see the chap in the news has lost his case about being fined for taking his child on holiday during term time.
Seems a little unfair the tax payer is now to pick up his £200,000 legal costs.
Thoughts?
Term time holidays are easier to take in Scotland (well they are where I am)

Thought that this was decided by the Supreme Court a couple of months ago?
My daughters have both said that they will take their (young) children out of school for holidays and pay the fines if issued,as they simply can't afford the prices in July and August. However, our local authority have apparently never fined anyone for this sort of absence.
