My husband and I are spending a week in Fuerteventura from 28th February and wondering if there are any carnivals/festivals on in the first week of March. I have heard that February & March are the time of year when they are held. Does anyone have any information that would help

Carnival starts on 2nd March this year for 10 days. The parade should be on the first Saturday. Fireworks on the last night.

The parade will be down the main street. The actual carnival ground is behind the Fiesta Correlejo gardens apartments. Normally it goes on all night on the Friday and Saturday nights. Some events might be by the harbour. There will be posters around but mostly in Spanish. The best thing is to call into the tourist info office next to the Marquesina restaurant on the seafront and ask there.
