hello all. i have a holiday booked with some friends to this aparthotel in may. in total there will be 4 adults and 3 chrildren. ages 13yrs. 26 mths . 14 mths.
i hope we have made a good decision with choice of hotel as there seem to be more good reports than bad.
we are flying from the new doncaster airport which should be fun as it will have only been open for a week (thats if they finish it in time) and i will report back to tell how we went on.
any tips on where and where not to eat would be good.
Thanks in advance.
Your Hotel is just about as central as you can get in Magalluf. within less than a minutes walk from Benny Hill's and all the bars around it, yet sufficiently out of the way not to be too noisy (especially in May)
Depending on your palate, you have Burger King next door, McDonalds about 200 metres away, Pizza Hut about 500 yards away, and KFC about the same. Besides this there is a good selection of British, Spanish & Chinese eateries within a 5 minutes walk.
Hope you have a good stay. I would tell you where my bar is, but it seems it upsets the "contollers"
Hope this info helps!
Adam
Hi. Me and my mates are planning a holiday to the fiesta hotels in magaluf. Was just wondering what people thought of these hotels and the entertainment provided at these hotels. Thanks. Kat
You will find reviews on the following links
Sarah?
Has anyone been to the fiesta hotels in magaluf? if so do you know the fiesta entertainer
thanks biff1. Have already read them. Was just wondering if anyone had any other views or comments!
we stayed there about 3 years ago in May and had a lovely time. It was very family orientated, clean and had excellent children's entertainment. The pool was lovely and you're near everything but in a quiet location.
We stayed there in july 04 and sept 04 and had a fantastic time both times.The reps are great and we loved every minute of it!We are staying in a fiesta hotel in Ibiza this year which we are looking forward to.If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask and i will try to help
Last year we stayed in the martinique apts and we found that a pub called "dreams" done a very nice breakfast! and was cheap too! great service was provided to us its jus round the corner from mano's bar near the pirates show
Try curlys across from burger king, lovely home made soup you can even get your mince and tatties here, You might even bump into leepy lee But if you enjoy indian food i would highly recomend going into the one just past linekers heading to the beach, fab food we ate here about 5 times in our fortnight.
we stayed there sept 2003 ,5 adults an 3 kids , we all loved it .what the other members have said about it sums it all up ,the pool is fantastic ,very large ,rooms basic but clean ,very central ,kids clubs recommended ,ours loved them !!!! and the nightime entertainment is good for the adults as well as the kids !!!!,to be honest we didnt really bother to go anywhere else at night ( although the men did !!! ) because my son was only 2 and the others where 4 and 6 ,it was the easiest option but to be honest we enjoyed it and would defo stay here again
we stayed in the tropico sept 03 ,really enjoyed it
* close to all local amenities
* close to the beach
* close to all the nightlife
* apartments basic but clean
* very large pool
* great kids clubs
* complex night time entertainment quite good
* the tropico is very children focused but think the other fiesta hotels which are just across the road are more for couples and groups ,i would defo recommend
So sorry if this puts you off, but I have spoken to friends who stayed more recently and the problem is still there apparently......
i have stayed in the feista sahara twice and both times were excellent we were all aged between 19 to 23 there is two swimming pools one indoor and one out didnt use them as we went in october and it wasnt that warm the beach is about 10 mins away and resort centre we all had a great time if any more info needed just pm me
i stayed at the fiesta tropico a few years ago with my family --- the accomodation is super - simple, clean and friendly.... there are 2 blocks of apartments - big site all have big pools,
the sahara is on one side of the tropico and the jungla is on the other side - can walk through them all, the tropico's mainly for families with kids but the other 2 are more aimed at us youngn's in high season - there was a really good deal on sky travelshop the other day and it made me wana go back hehe
its right in the middle of things (although it is quiet! so you should be able to get a bit sleep!) and i feel ideally situated for the biggest pub crawl of ur life! when u go out of the exit from the tropico to the little side street there was a bar which did 2 for ones and staff were fab , for families theres a class bar called benny hills - its got amusements next door, dancefloor inside and the adults can sit outside and watch the world go by
daquiri palace on the beach does gorgeous frozen cocktails
theres loadsa cheap restaurants along the seafront (try Happy House its fab !)
me and my boyfriend discovered a beautiful spanish restaurant. - its at the right hand side of the resort if ur facing the beach - you pass some duty free and perfume shops - keep walking and you'll find it - gorgeous (so jealous wanna go now!!)
during the day the beach is amazing - we rented a pedallo and went to the island in the middle - take ur flip flops like as its spikey rocky ground - and dont forget that if you all get off your pedallo may float away (oops!)
cheap and the waiter (Lorenzo - when i was there) is really nice (he does have a twin brother mind hehe!)
We went 4 yrs ago in May with our nearly 4 yr old and he and we loved it.
I was pregnant at the time so the break was needed.
Kids club great-they all made ears and had their faces painted one day, evreyone round the pool was saying ahhhhh when they all came round the bushes all pretending to be bears.
Kids drop in centre great
Pool superb-It slopes in to the pool in a few places and it's like sitting on the sea shore without the sand up your bum!
Bar-too small but good entertainment, quiz, bingo, mini disco and acts
Receiption- great, change money etc
Reps-Not too bad .Good quiz by the pool if they still do it?
Kids reps- Fantastic
Playground- great when the suns got rid of the dew
Rooms -not very well equiped kitchens, Bedroom large, pull out bed and sofa in main room, large balcony. Bathroom very small.
For food I'd recommend the European just out the doors and on the left a few doors down. Good food-good prices
Also a couple of doors away theres a trip place check the prices out with them first before booking with the reps.
10 min walk straight down to the beach and the livelier Magaluf.
Stand in the entrance and Pirate is sort of straight in front of you (well that direction- you'll have to go around the hotels) not hard to find.
Palma Nova has a nice park just behind the beach and has a nicer frontage-first aid and prom.
Hope you have a good time- were off to Cala Bona in May too.
thank for your help. Did anu of you's stick around for the entertainment put on at night? if you did what was it like and what were the entertainers like? ta. Kat x
the outside pool isn't very warm in fact it is quite cold, we went in september. on the whole not a bad hotel,
