Just to say that I have emailed the hotel a couple of times at the following and had replies both times (last time 23 March 2009).
Unless anything has changed since then.

the one i had a - between hotel thats why it kicked back
going here in july this year(20 odd years since last in Ibiza ). Been looking at the ai options but as we dont usually snack or have lunch and only drink the odd beer and mainly water or soft drinks is it really worth upgrading. Can anyone remember from last year what the bar prices were like and if there is a supermarket near by? Thanks
1.65 coffee.3.50 beer.2.50 softdrink.1.65 water.thats just a rough idea from lastyear.supermaket is about less than a 5 min walk.turn right .there is a cafe near by.but again prices are high.you must keep drinks hided from staff.its like taking your own beer to a pub.or food to a cafe.
think that we will probably not bother. by the time we have spent a few days exploring and down on the beach it wouldnt be worth it.
to get your moneys worth.you would have to drink some.really depends how much you can drink in one day.i don;t bother.
When we were there last July there were plenty of folk who hired a fridge and just sat outside their apartment at night drinking, watching the various shows and no one said a word to them. The drink prices were a rip off and an example of this was when I bought my wife a Malibu,Pineapple and lemonade and was charged almost 10 Euros. The lager was roughly 3.5 Euros for 0.4L of Cruzcampo and it was not the best lager I have ever had.
point taken.but if everyone did it.they would not make any profit.just that other fiesta hotels can be very rude if they see you drinking your own stuff.plus worse if your on a/i and pass a drink on to someone who is not.
Good to hear you can hire a fridge. Does anyone know how much they are and/or how much a safe costs?
Can`t remember exactly how much the fridge cost to rent ,think it was approx. 50 Euros a week ,but I can remember speaking to someone who rented one for the 2 weeks and he told me when the person came to pick it up on the last day he joked that he could possibly have bought one for less than he paid to rent.I don`t think the person was too happy but I know that it was expensive to rent a fridge. This was with a company that advertises at the Don Toni reception so you might find some place else that rents them cheaper.
Has anyone just returned from the Don Toni.If so can you tell me any of the names of the Fiesta team that were there. We are due to go in July and are hoping that a few of the ones from last year are there again.
the fiesta team might have a few members from last year.but like most they change or move on.this happens is all the hotels.
Wow! 50 Euros for a fridge for the week. With the exchange rate as it is that makes it really expensive. Will anyone bother?
Nope! We're going first 2 weeks in July- and no way would I fork out 100E for two weeks hire of a fridge! I didn't even pay that for the hire of aircon in Greece last year!
just remind you.that your not hiring direct from hotel.its a company that deals all over the island.so you cannot blame the hotel.
I am going to the Club Don Toni next week, and have emailed the hotel for their current prices of the all inclusive option and drinks only option. I wondered if anyone can tell me the average price of soft drinks or snacks over there, so I can see if it is a viable option. Thanks for any help
two options by the way
a/i drinks and meals
a/i drinks only.
you only talking about 3 euro more to inc meals, but most go just for the drinks.food is spot on.
The 2009 prices for the Club Don Toni hotel are as follows:-
All Inclusive which is drinks and snacks or you can go to the restaurant for lunch is Adults 19 Euros and Child 12 Euros.
The price for Drinks only is Adults 15 Euros and Children I think is 10 Euros.
As you can see it does make sense to go All Inclusive as you can have lunch in the restaurant and all snacks for a minimum price. Also the food is fabulous at lunch time with the Gaspacho soup absoultely brilliant. They also fry the burgers in front of you while you wait and there you are also spoilt for choice.
