We've been to the resort for the last 3 years - As you would expect we can't speak highly enough of the place.

Very relaxed & informal atmosphere, you don't need to dress up for dinner if you don't want to. Decent pair of shorts & shirt for men, some women dress up a little in the evenings but not too glam. Service is good, same waiter stays with you for your whole stay, just let him know on the first day what you like and its there for you. I don't wear any shoes for the whole holiday, you're in a water bungalow and the timber walkways do tend to get a bit hot so maybe some flip-flops or something like that would be advisable.

Not alot of things to do unless you like snorkelling, diving, windsurfing etc - Dive school is good if you do dive with 2 trips per day - am & pm + a good house reef. There's a good spa, bit pricey but not too bad. Not much in the way of evening entertainment, but I suspect that you've chosen the Maldives for the tranquility - you won't be disapointed if that is the case.

Food is mostly buffet style, very varied & extremely good with puddings to die for, try the various styles of homemade ice cream! There's a 'Sunset' bar that serves meals, snacks, drinks, cocktails as well as the main restaurant and bar area's.

Rooms are good, we've not been into a W/B but have spoken to people who have and they say they are nice.

Weather can be a little wet, wet monsoon season, mostly heavy showers then clears up if it rains in the day. Most rain is at night. Last year it rained once during the day in our fortnights trip, a previous year we had rain on four or five days - luck of the draw really.

We are also going again in July, arriving in the resort on the 13th.

If you want any more specific information let me know.

Thanks for this, I picked up my tickets yesterday and am counting down the days until we go! Tranquility is what were looking for as we are spending 8 nights in Sri Lanka before and 3 nights in Dubai afterwards!
