We went to Wunderbar in Anjuna last night and had a fantastic meal at a sensible price, the steak was the best I have ever had in Goa but a small beer @ 60 rps was a bit more then I like to pay.
roasted bread with dip free
2 Prawn soup 160
1 fillet steak 250
1 fish on spinach 220
4 small Tuborg 240
1 large Fosters 90
home made crunchy chocolate with the bill free
It was set in a nice garden, not too dark and you can watch the chefs (six) preparing and cooking your meal, the service was very good without been pushy
Choice of ten curries, come with rice, 2 popadoms, beautiful Nan bread and mango chutney.
All of us had different curries and they were all very very good.
Cost, Rs532 per head including a large beer of your choice, lager, Guiness or a dozen real ales.
So where do we get the idea that Goa is so cheap?
( yes I do realise its cheaper, but relatively speaking?.....................)
Kings Kitchen Anjuna
4 small Turborg 140
2 massalla papad 20
1 butter chicken 110
I aloo jeera 50
1 egg biriyani 60
We had so much food we had them pack what was left and had it for lunch the next day, good job they forgot to order the plain naan @15 Rps, this was all cooked fresh not enhanced frozen food zapped in a microwave for two minutes. Sorry for me there is no contest on price or quality
Thought I should say the butter chicken was expensive because you had to order it by half or a whole chicken also it was off the bone which i think cost more
Off out to see what to have for breakfast/ lunch now but that's another meal and adventure
chilly
Can't wait for the butter chicken. We have a restaurant by us sort of East meets West place that does Butter Chicken and it is to die for but unfortunately so is the price when I think what it costs me in Goa along with the lovely warm atmosphere. Only a week to wait for it now though.
pip
We will see you at the meet up Pip, hope we still get the home made Baileys there, the food was good too.
chilly
Do we get it cheaper by the jug full chilly
And mike says cheers and then he said the jug would be to share ugh silly man
Pip

Thanx
Off the main Baga Road, down Tito's road, it's on the right hand side as you walk towards the beach. Tito's road is just a little way up from The Ronil Beach hotel if you were walking in the direction of calangute.
