I'm sure someone here can advise you about clubs - sorry but I'm a bit old for them now
Search this site too, lots of valuable information for a newbie to Goa.

same here to old for the bars and clubs, but stayed in the mira hotel last month, loved it , say hi to santose from, tammie and steve, have a lovely time.
Go down Tito's road in Baga it leads from Baga rd to the beach area where the 'trendy' type shacks are. There are livelier late night bars with music down there and a couple of dance places. Mostly couples go to Goa and millions of indian men but you may meet some groups of singles!
You will probably find that some of the clubs down Titos Road won't let males in with female company. you may have to visit the bars first to chat a couple of females up to get you in there! We have often gone into the clubs with our taxi driver, they will be packed out though at Xmas. Sunburn Festival will still be on though in Candolim, you will love that if you like dance music.
If you come out of Mira...turn left and up to high street - if you go straight across the road there that is the way to Baga...but on the lhs is Infanteria - cheap good place to 'fill up' on food
Again...once you hit the 'high street' ..turn left and only short distance down to the main steps to the beach.
Get a tuk tuk from Mira to beach area by St Anthony's Chapel and get them to take you through to the beach. Great little place to eat just before the beach on the rhs. At the beach two VERY good shacks....first one on the right as you walk onto the beach..Fishermans Paradise - Sam will look after you very well...good music. To the left Budha Bar - run by same family - excellent food too - Sylvester will see you're ok!
Try and taxi or bus south to Palolem - remember the curved white beach where Matt Damon was running along at beginning of Bourne Supremacy?...this is it. Normally plenty of BASIC places to stay in huts on stilts on the beach. Sure you'll love it here!

.... and Nerul bridge is where the car went into the river.
If you have a baggage weight restriction don't take too much shampoo, sun tan oil and toothpaste as they are cheap to buy, you also need far fewer clothes than you probably imagine as dress code everywhere is strictly as you feel you need to be. Shorts and T shirts were all I needed for the entire trip and you can buy more for a couple of £'s. I wore one pair of sandals for an entire month !
I'm too old by about 40 years for clubbing but I'm sure you will have a great time, just be careful as there are some pretty mean looking tourists about who may well have "connections".
