Im thinking of trying turkey for the first time out of all the resorts whats the best.Im a benidorm lover but with the euro away down id like to try turkey in september after my holiday to benidorm in july .Then if i liked it id book there for summer 09 looking forward to all your help .Oh is it like bulgaria you have to go 4star to get like 3 star here etc cheers all mazza

I used to holiday all the time in Benidorm, but now the only place I go to is Turkey. I started off going to Marmaris, which is lovely, but now I prefer Icmeler, which is just a few miles past Marmaris.
The Turkish are very friendly, much friendlier than the Spaniards and will always go out of their way to help you. Marmaris has been compared to Benidorm before, but give me Marmaris any time. Its not full of ex pats running bars. Bars will stay open as long as you are staying out.
Icmeler is much prettier than Marmaris and has a nicer beach. Smaller than Marmaris but more compact. Its filled with restaurants and bars and always some entertainment going on. There are plenty of trips to do.
