Hi partyanne ... it very much depends on your likes and dislikes. You may want to check out attractions such as Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Mundomar or Aqualandia to see if they appeal to you. Their individual websites should show opening dates, times and prices.

For a good night out, Benidorm Palace is a popular attraction.

Numerous excursions are available, which could be half or full day, to villages such as Guadalest or perhaps even a full Costa Blanca tour.

Train/tram services would take you from Benidorm to places such as Alicante City, Altea, Calpe or Denia. You could also cruise from Benidorm to Calpe.

Or you could just laze around one of Benidorm's lovely beaches by day, explore the Old Town, and then tour the local bars and clubs by night.

There is perhaps too much to see and do in a week and so with a bit more info from you about what you are looking for from a holiday, it may help others to narrow down the options and come up with some recommendations specifically for you.

Hi there. Where are you staying so I can give you some advice on where to go? The very first time we came to Benidorm, we didn't find the best places till our last night. There is so much to see and do by day and in the evening. I know Beni like the back of my hand now.

Best wishes

Hi Anne
If you like entertainment, even though you are not far from the main entertainment area, for the first time you go out, jump in a taxi, ask for 'Stardust Caberet Bar' for instance and once there, you will see lots of other entertainment venues such as Morgans, Western Saloon, and many many more. Take a walk through the day along the same street and further along you will find the square with good caberet bars such as Sinatras, Chaplins and more, depending on your taste. All the bars usually advertise what will be on for the rest of the week. There is also entertainment on in lots of places through the day. Bingo, if you like it, Country and Western, or if you like rock, there is a great bar along the beach called Hard Rock Cafe. Go straight down to the front from your hotel, turn right and walk along towards the Old Town, the bar is on the right, opposite the beach. There are many other pubs with quizzes, karaoke, etc. Buddies Bar, just up from Sinatras on the corner is good for a decent cheap drink, usually happy hours and has bingo, entertainment and karaoke through the day. It has a nice friendly atmosphere and we usually go there first. We are going to Benidorm on 16th May for a week and really looking forward to it. If you need any more help, just ask. Have a great time. I'm sure you will.

or, turn left out of your appt, slightly uphill,
across 1 junction, turn left at the next,
less than 5 min walk,
that's calle londres, you have the drop inn,
yorkshire pride2, stretford end, london bar etc etc.

we usually go here earlier on, the square doesn't get lively till
later.

The area you're staying in is where we always stay
any questions, ask away

Benidorm has something for EVERYONE no matter what age or what your tastes are. Don't be put off my all the high rise. It is a concrete jungle, like New York when you first arrive, but most hotels are of good quality, the beaches are lovely and its the tops for entertainment. Don't forget to visit the Old Town.

A nice walk along the beach front is the best way to get to the old town. Well paved walkway just keep going at your own pace until you get to the end of .When you see the more narrow streets your there if its to far for you. Enjoy yourself`s :)

Yes I agree. Walk along the sea front 'cos if you walk through the streets, you will be crossing busy roads, but if you dont feel like a 20-30 minute walk, hop in a taxi. It'll only cost you a few euro. It's sometimes a welcome retreat, to chill out at a cosy bar or tapas bar.

Hi Ann
You could also visit the very pretty coastal town of Altea which is only about 7kl north of Benidorm. There will be day excursions there. Pop into any travel shop to book your place on the bus or ask at your hotel reception.

Have a lovely time.

You don't need to book an excursion, you can get the number 10 bus to Altea which goes from Benidorm approx every 30 mins €1.25 each way bus fare...the bus goes through Albir first, so you could get off and have a look around Albir and walk to Altea on the promenade.

If you do go to Altea, either get a taxi for a few euros or walk up the very steep and narrow streets (depending how fit you are) to visit the Church (Virgin del Consuelo) there's an excellent panoramic viewing platform near the church and you'll see Benidorm's skyscrapers on the horizon, the plaza(square) around the church is very pretty and obviously a tourist trap, but there are plenty of other little places to eat away from this tourist attraction.
If you go on a Tuesday to Altea (market day) by the time the bus gets to the end of the Mediterraneo and near to where you're staying, it's usually full or standing room only, so unless you specifically want to go to the market, don't go to Altea on a Tuesday.
