A while to go yet but we are visiting Egypt in September .Any tips for first timers please?
We are actually doing a 7 day Nile cruise on the El Fostate followed by 7 days at the Dana Beach Hotel in Hurghada.
Any info would be gratefully received.

You could also consider El GOuna, which is next door to Hurghada but a hassle free resort, pretty upmarket, nice marina area as well as downtown to visit. Wins handsdown for us!... Nice choice, a weeks cruise then a week on the Red Sea.
