If you are going to hire a scooter, please make sure you get a International Driving Licence from the post office, only costs around £5.50 for a year, on the back page, make sure they stamp all 5 boxes, including the top one, as this will let you ride a scooter around Goa, and make sure you keep in it the seat of the bike, so if stopped by the police, you will never have a problem, and dont ever pay the fine they are asking for. Year before last when we got stopped, they wanted money, would not pay, so hubbie offered them the key and bike, needless to say they let us go.
