Fishing on river sall

Hi we are of to Goa on the 26th March, went the same time last year and loved it, we know the area (South) Cavellosim, What I am wanting to ask is - my son and I would like to do some fishing and would like to know is fishing avalable on the river sall we never got round to it last year and really fancy it this time. We stay at the Dona Sylvia which is just across the road from the river any help would be great cheers David.
hi dave done a bit of fishing last year on the sal.caught a few cat fish ask the local lads in the restuarants to get your bait .fresh prawns and sprats. i fish at jacks place the lads are sound ,,<BACK OF HAATI MAHAL.no charge for bait just give your catch to the lads even small stuff its a meal for the lads.also river view opposite the donna same as good lads might catch up with youi going myself on the 30 th for a month cant wait see you in the silver waves on the beach ask for chandru . jack also does sea fihing trips dont forget the sal is salt water see you soon good fishing scouse baz

Try fishing at the Sal estuary Ive caught sea bass in the past. River View is quite good watch out for the cat fish though they can pack a powerful punch if you get stabbed with their fin spikes, to avoid catching float fish.I can't remember name of bridge but about 2/3 kilometers out of Caveolossim the locals fish off a bridge over the Sal ask locals where the ice fatory is thats where the bridge is Tight lines
