I've seen a poster...

hang on, let me explain...

I know very little about fishing.. I know more about eating them and while in the Nautilus Inn Bar in Pernera (just down the beach from Protaras.. incidently it seems quicker along the beach than the road..).. and on the walls they have some printed out posters which tell of a fisherman who has caught an entirely new species just off the coast of Pernera.. quite deep down so I presume he was in a boat..

Now I've tried to find this via google to see if its all true etc, but didn't find anything after a short search... but the posters had something like Discovery channel on the top...

It read something like Somebody or other locally known as "willie the fish" has caught... blah blah...... and has named the fish after himself , so there now is a Willie the fish...

anyone else seen it.. I have a picture of the poster somewhere....

Wow.. I wasn't goint to bother with dam fishing but after seeing these links I will try and give it a go.
I really would like to catch a catfish ?

Went for a days fishing just outside Paphos, 8 people in total, and all i can say is what a waist of time and money, this cost my family alone (4 people) £184.00 for what 2 4 inch cat fish all day.
The other people well only one person caught a carp about 1lb all day.
Paying tha sort of money you do expect to catch more.
Came back yesterday and had a fishing match today and i won it with 14lb 14 oz
