PS ... I am not posting a link to the article in case of any libelous comments which may be tagged on to it Sun readers
One thing that I did notice was that they were all inclusive which rules out the majority of hotels in Benidorm.

It is rare, early diagnosis and treatment is paramount and that is where the problem lies .the initial flu like and fever symptoms can be confused with other ailments and because it is rare doctors can misdiagnose, which wastes precious time and allows the bug to spread rampantly through the deep layers of the skin.
I'm not trying to play down the seriousness of contracting NF and it is a RARE serious life threatening disease, but please put this story into perspective.
At this moment there is no conclusive proof that this woman caught it from the pool, it also states that she had flu like symptoms and her leg went red, but there is no mention of seeking early treatment in Benidorm.
The sun newspaper might not be the most educational tabloid, but even they must be aware that should it be found the pool was not the source of infection and they have named the hotel in question, then I suspect they will have one case to answer from the Spanish hotel group lawyers.
Go enjoy your holiday, if you sat down and thought about all the bacteria introduced into a swimming pool from dead skin, sweat, urine, hair, faecal matter, perfumes, suncreams, deodorants, inadequate filters and wrong percentages of disinfectant etc etc, then nobody would step foot in them and these problems are widespread across Europe, some cause ear infections, tummy upsets and diarrhoea most people blame the food when infact it has nothing to do with the food they have eaten in the hotel or anywhere else.

Firstly yes I am going to an all inclusive hotel and I'm not doing a major panic but I do have 2 children under 5 and I was just trying to find out if the hotel concerned was the one which is where the problem is. I'm sure if any of you were in the same position as me you would also want to know if you had the chance of facing any problems whilst away. Still I'm sure I will find out tommorrow
Hi mrs gersh ... I completely understand your points. It can't have been pleasant to read such allegations of an incident at an un-named AI hotel in Benidorm, just the day before you go off to an AI hotel in Benidorm, and I can appreciate why you would want to know more. But until such time as confirmed information is available from reliable sources, all I would suggest if you do have concerns, is that you balance them against the reputation for integrity, reliability and accuracy held by the newspaper in question. I hope that you have a lovely and trouble-free holiday.
