Why is it that first choice sell you a holiday and then decide that not enough bums on seats and change your airport?
Twice now FC have decided to change from cardiff to Bristol, which is a total inconvenience, and im getting fed up as we choose a local airport and also i book my holiday around flight times as i have 2 young kids and fed up with night flights on offer.
is it only FC that do this or do others also as i am looking to book 2007 hols and fed up being messed about
Their days are over: they are overpriced and have far too much control over todays customer.
They are fighting a losing battle - Joe Public has wised up nowadays - long gone are the days where you need a package company to book a holiday with.
All of a sudden europe has become smaller with the help of the internet. Book yourself a DIY holiday, you probably wouldnt dream of booking with a travel agent inside the UK, so why bother in europe ?
I have done it loads of times and so have all my friends. Do not be afraid, do it. Do no succumb to scare tactics by holiday companies, who at the end of the day will rip you off and more importantly for you, will mess you about.
Too right!! as a family we have always booked our main hols with travel agents but no more. we now book d-i-y and do our own flights and everything online and boy, have we saved money plus we are more experimental over where we go now and keep away from the large touristy resorts and head for smaller, less busy places in small villas etc. great way to do it plus less chance of flights being changed etc.
