Hi
We were delayed on our return from Sanford Airport (Florida) to Mancester by 16 hours at the end of October with Travel City Direct. Because of this my Husband who is self employed lost a days wages and my son was booked onto a Scout trip missed out.
My Insurance company will only pay out £20 each for the delay but not for anything else. Is there much point on trying to get any money from Travel City Direct or will they kust try and skirm out of it?
Thanks
Michelle
As your insurance has paid out and as long as TCD looked after you during the delay ( food, drinks, accommodation if possible ) then I dont thi k you will have any further claim.
Kind Regards
Stewart
A travel company will not pay for loss of earnings. What is and isn't covered will be in the small print in either the brochure and any further documentation that you were sent.
He's self employed, I'm sure it can be 'untaxed'
If you are delayed outbound, on a PACKAGE deal, you CAN claim for the portion of the holiday "lost" due to the delay. Homeward bound is not the same, I believe.
TCD are to be watched..........good prices, but not always the best service in my opinion.
Mike
