We had flights booked to Palma and Alicante with them

Yes they offered refund the Majorca flight and acc i wasnt bothered about has it was only a 2 day break

But my hubby myself daughter and grandson was going out with bmi baby on newyears day to Benidorm for a week and now we are in a pickle

Because we can not afford the flights from Newcastle has there want over a £1000 for them yes bmi baby is going to refund us

But we booked hotel separte and dont know were we stand does any one know what we can do.

I can not see the hotel company giving us our money back just cause we can not get flights and we paid oer £700 for the hotel

I just dont know were we stand can any one help me or suggest what we can do please x

We have flights booked for Feb/March as well. It's a waiting game now to see what happens. Both in terms of refund etc and also who will take over the slots.

The reason given on this evenings news, is that the routes weren't viable. A tour operator was saying that you need 95%+ occupancy on the seats, ALL season to make it pay. Not just the popular months in the middle.

I think there is more to it than pure finance. (Only my opinion of course.) It's only 4-5 months ago that BMi doubled their aircraft from DTV and in fact they were still advertising for cabin crew at DTV up until a couple of weeks ago.

As I say, just have to wait and see. Whatever happens, we're unlikely to get the fares the same price. The thing I liked about BMi ws that you could book your seat in advance and it was guaranteed.

It was only last week that i tried to put 2 friends off ours onto our Jan 1st flight to Alicante and it said it was fully booked.

So there has to be more to it.

Only thing im worried about is getting a refund on our hotel

At the time off booking hotel back in June we didnt have insurance so we not covered at all.

Well dont think we are we have insurance now but not on day that we booked hotel.

The email i got just stated that a full refund from bmi baby will be back in our bank acc with in a month.

So dont really know were i stand
