A few months ago my wife and I booked a holiday with Kosmar to go to Thassos next May. The flight times and Thursday departure day suited us perfectly.
However the other day I happened to be looking at the 2006 flight times on the Kosmar web site and apart from the fact that the times had changed I also noticed that the departure day showed Friday instead of Thursday.
I phoned Kosmar and they confirmed that the departure day was being changed and a letter would be sent out soon to customers going to Thassos.
Last year we travelled with Kosmar for the first time (Skiathos) and found them to be a very good company and the rep was excellent and helpful, and althought we have occasionally had flight times changed over the years by an hour or two with Direct Holidays, Portland Direct or Thomsons, this is the first time the actual day of departure has changed.
The whole idea of booking our holiday well in advance was to make sure of getting the accommodation of our choice along with most suitable flight times and departure day.
Is it quite normal for this to happen and has anyone experienced this before?
I would have thought that you would be entitled to cancel and get all of the money paid back because of this major change - that is if you want to of course.
