Yes, your right. Malaysian Airlines are having cash problems, but the article in the newspapers in March said that the Manchester route would be under review over the next 6 months.
hiya any more info on this post as my bro,s girlfreind whos from bali is here for 3 months visiting and they came on malaysian airways?????????? im going to malaysia at xmas but with qatar airways has any one any info on this airline?thanks maggieomx

Don't worry about MAS they have just dropped some of their less popular routes as they lost quite a lot of money last year but they are two thirds owned by the government so its quite safe to book with them.
hiya rikt no im not worried the problem is i live about 100 yards from manchester airport and my bro lives 25 miles away from it and this is where he flew into so i think he,s xpecting to go back that way,i know for a fact he hasnt heard about the change as he dosent have the net!! oops!! 
They are stopping, or if not stopped going out of Manchester-I have been told they are not flying in the summer- I am flying from Birmingham now with Dubai Airways. I'd tell your brother to check things out.

he said he has a return ticket with them going back may, it was only a quick call as he,s working, maggieomx
They are not flying direct any one booking from Manchester would be flown to Heathrow to link up with the flights from there.
hiya rickt are you sure they have stopped already? coz ilive across from manchester airport (the runway is my back garden!!)and yeasterday a malaysian jumbo came in to here?? or are they stopping and not stopped yet ? maggieomx
