Hi,
again we are going to try the casinos this time as well, can anyone give me any details about these, which is the best one, and what are they like, what to expect. A silly question I know, but I have never been on one! Are they expensive?
Thanks
There was even 'entertainment' provided on the top-deck by way of some girls dancing. Strange, but all part of the experience. My wife has just thi minute said she thinks the casino was called 'Kings'.
You can embark and dis-embark whenever the launch turns up which seemed to be roughly every 30 mins or so. As I say we all thoroughly enjoyed it and it gave us all a chance to dress up for a change. Word of warning, no cameras or video's allowed on the casino floors. Anywhere else on the ship it's allowed.
You'll get to see some of the Indian 'high-rollers' as well, betting extreme ammounts of money !!
sounds good hubby and I want to go on this trip in November if we can find the time its getting now 3 weeks is not enough let alone 2 weeks ....colleen
Well worth the trip and as Knobsy said once you pay the entrance fee the food ( which is excellent ) and all the drinks are free !
Steve

Many thanks
Think they've just increased the entrance fee from 200Rp to 2000Rp
What is the dress code aboard the floating casinos? (male and female)thanks Paula
Smart casual, but I've seen people get aboard that don't fit that criteria

Sorry to sound thick Chilly, but what are ploppers?
Is the "no flip flops or ploppers(whatever they are!!!)rule"for men and women?I usually only take flip flops, although mule type for evenings. Paula
This all sounds good we will deffo go on it in March something to look forward too colleen
Think they've just increased the entrance fee from 200Rp to 2000Rp
This is true Gooner fan. Although they do give you 1,000 rps worth of chips to make a one-off bet with.
I read on an Indian news site that there is only one casino boat working this season and that it only works as and when.
One has no licence, one is out of service for a refit, one is out of service for repairs and the other has financial difficulties.
can't remember the name of the one still operating but sure it wasn't the Caravela.
I have done a search but can't find the relevant site again
anyone have up to date news?
And
Does "ploppers" incude crocs?
edit. found the link

there are 6 casinos now, we went on Pride and had to pay 2500 rps each to get on it and the casino royale 3500rps whicjh looking at my credit card has worked out for 3 people £150 and that is just to get on it.
Vagasone when you pay the 2500 or 3500 do you get any casino chips to place a bet with inc with your fee to go on the boat ....colleen
