Hi everyone
I am off to Florida (Orlando area) next May.
Have got my flights and Condo sorted out (Although am having issues over the price of the latter)
I dont fancy doing all the driving and a mate has agreed to help out.
My question is, is it less expensive to book your own car ? If so it is best to take upgrades when offered at the time of collection ?
The Travel Agency price seems more than what I could get by booking online directly. Although they use Alamo, and I looked up DOLLAR.
Thanks in advance for any advice
Most people suggest booking in the UK before you go and paying for everything up front as it's cheaper. Try
I wouldn't want to use them again though, as they tried to say we should upgrade, and claimed we didn't have adequate insurance despite us booking platinum fully inclusive. I think they were lying about the insurance though, as they couldn't seem to tell me what the missing cover was, they were calling it XXX (3 letters) but wouldn't tell me what it stood for and explained it as something completely unrelated. I think they were trying to sell me personal accident insurance, and insurance in case we got a puncture.
Thank you for this advice. I will avoid Thrifty and book before I go
