Hi all
Right, just been flicking through teletext as you do and me and my wife are considering a break for Florida in October this year. We would really like to stay on the coast, heard Clearwater is nice(?).
I saw some great deals on the teletext channel on Sky Digital however can't find them replicated on the Internet any where. Prices like £339 per person and so on.
Can anybody recommend a holiday website were we might be able to pick up a deal including flight and hotel on the coast in Florida for under £500 per person all in or is it too little money?
Thank you very much for your help and time.
P.S. If you can get car hire is possible that would be brill!
P.P.S. And a private butler called Jeeves.
You don't say where you would like to fly from but did read that Zoom do really reasonable flights from Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale . If you were set on the gulf coast flying to Tampa or Orlando would be better but not sure if you would get a good deal for £500 to include hotel and possibly car hire . Hopefully someone else will come along with some advice .
Thank you for taking the time to answer. Should have said I live in the north, so Gatwick is a bit out of reach. Did have a look though and your right, in October it give me return flights on Zoom for £528 for 2 people return!
I have found reasonable flight prices from Manchester. Monarch are doing it for £399.00 per person return to Orlando, which is pretty good I think. I have seen a few offers flying around for Orlando for under £500 per person including flights and car leading me to believe that it may be possible for a beach location as well, but have yet to find any.
A couple of things to bear in mind mate, the price for the hol with car hire, probably won't include car insurance, teh operator will try and charge you around £250 for 2 weeks, Oct is also Hurricane season, you may get lucky and not get any, but you may also lose 36/48 hrs stuck in your hotel if one hits whilst you are there.
Danny
Hurricane season runs from June to November.... so I wouldn't let that stop you.
I agree, I've only been once before, but got caught up in one, meant being stuck in the hotel for 36 hours but was a great experience, just wanted to make the poster aware just in case they didn't know
