I'm sure that many people are googling 'hand foot and mouth disease' after seeing your message (!), but I did read that 'Hand foot and mouth disease is usually a short mild illness that mainly affects children. Most children fully recover within a week', which does pose the question, how long have they had it?
Irrelevant of answer, it's an infectious disease though, so again, you'd have to speak to the doctor. My gut feeling would be a definitive no.
I work in a nursery and have had children with hand, foot and mouth disease. They are not allowed to attend the nursery until it is cleared as it is highly infectious. I agree with getting it checked out at the doctors. Hope everything works out ok.
thanks she only started with it on saturday, just heard airline have said she needs a doctors note to travel
I flew back from Portugal 3 years ago while getting over a cold and I was over the worst. We did Faro to Luton then Luton to Belfast International. Coming into Luton, my ears were so painful that tears were running down my face. Hubby found the pressure point that took edge off pain enough for tears to stop.
When my daughte wasr about 10 she gor HFM I had 3 children it was just before a caravan holiday and no one else caught it, so hopefully they will be able to travel, only the Doctor or airline can give the definite answer though, Good Luck
