Also, we booked our holiday with On The Beach holidays for 2 adults and 2 children but we only booked on 3 hold bags as we think thats all we will need but does anybody know if we all get hand luggage including my 2 year old? Or will it just be 3 lots of hand luggage allowed too?
We are also in 2 minds weather to pay for a cot through the hotel or take our own travel cot and are wondering if we'd have to pay extra at check in for checking in 3 bags and a travel cot?
Thank you
Emma B
Luggage details are on the link I provided in my last post. Children (2-15) get full luggage entitlement. A cot would be classed as excess baggage and therefore be chargable. It would probably be cheaper to request one at your destination hotel.

Thanks Dazbo
Hope this the right place to ask this - although its quite a silly question.
When passing through security with young children do they have to walk through alone?
Its a couple of years since I flew. Will be travelling from MCR T1 next month
I assume my 4 yr old will be expected to walk through the metal detector alone, but she may balk at the body scanner!
What about the 18mnth old - who I hope will be in her buggy but will most likely want to be walking and is liable to run off - can she go through in the buggy? be carried, or be allowed to run through?
thnx
Your buggy will need to be folded down to go through the xray machine with the bags so your little one won't be able to stay in it.
Now we have booked just the 3 seats with little one on my knee - and we get 20kg hold with each seat plus 10kg for the infant. But my friend suggested that if packed seperately the airline wouldn't count the nappies and formula within the little ones 10kg backage allowance?
This sounds too good to be true - although could certainly use the extra allowance given the number of changes of clothes they are bound to need.
Flying with thomas cook via airtous package btw
Thanks xx
If you have 3 seats, that's 60kg luggage your allowed, plus 10kg for your infant. You won't get anymore than that apart from your 5kg hand luggage. That's what we get anyway when we fly with Thomson's in the next few weeks.
Don't waste your luggage allowance on nappies. Just take enough for the journey and the first couple of days and then buy them where you are going.
