The closest team will be Paralimni who are in the top league in Cyprus along with teams regularly seen in Europe like Nicosia and Limassol. If you arein the Issac all you need to do is head up to the main road in Pernera the junction is opposite Yerimos motorbike hire. Turn keft there, go straight to the top of that road. Turn left and when you get to the traffic lights turn right. Up the hill and you get to a roundabout, go straight over that and carry on. You will see the stadium on your right hand side. I'm not sure where the entrance is for matches though.

Just checked and the league starts 12th August. EN Paralimni are home to AEK Larnaca.

Any idea when the season starts?

As CELTIC fans, would it be ok to wear our celtic tops or are the locals hostile?

To date I haven't been to a gane but from what i'ver heard it can be a bit hairy so not sure if you should wear your colours especially if the opposition are in green and white hoops lol.

I want to go to a game and I may do when I go back in September.

It's not a big ground, it holds just under 6000 I believe but it looks ok.

The reigning cypriot champions are Anothosis Farmagusta their manager is Timur Ketsbia (yes the bald one that played for newcastle) ive been to watch them a few times , best way is to get a local to take you , it is definately an experience , even found myself joining in with the chanting

Was in North Cyprus when Anothosis Farmagusta knocked out Trabzonspor(sp?) from the Uefa cup and remember it caused quite an uproar on both sides of the border. Bit like Stockport knocking United out of the Fa cup . Know that Famagusta used to play in the North so it was a bit of a result and a half for them.
