Sounds great ! Others on the HT will know, but I believe there is huge demand for the trains as they are very cheap and you are best to book well in advance.cheers

Qatar have special offers on flights to Mumbai at the moment but prices are only good if you're going October to middle November - about £260.

Valley lady.
My last 2 visits to Goa was with Southall travel @ the price you have quoted and on both times you changed planes in Germany, with a 4 hour stop over before flighing on to Mumbia, I should check this out before booking your flight to goa. Danny

I have just booked with Thomson online for four people 14 nights staying at the Marinha Dourada from East Midlands departing 26th Nov. We have paid £660 per person and i'm told this is a very good deal so i thought i'd share it.

Booked this morning for a Kingfisher ticket.Leave Oct 6th back late Feb. days are flexible. I was constantly going back on the page to find the cheapest day to fly. I booked it on line checking out day and time and must have just checked the coming back times .Clicked to pay for it and thought i better check again but it didnt come up again to say what dates i picked. I get a email 5 mins later confirming i was booked on 6th Oct and back on 14th Oct ! Called them straight up and said can you amend the coming back date. Guy said no he cant do it as i did it online he cant change it, i would have to buy another ticket ! Asked to speak to his boss and had to call the online help and the guy amended it within 5 mins . Thank god for that .
I paid £459 with Kingfisher it was only £416 with Jet but part of that flight was Jet Lite and i know Jet from Heathrow takes 32kg but prefer 30kg and didnt think Jet Lite would take that.Same ticket was £369 5 weeks ago .
But done and booked now and its a nice feeling when you have booked.Just have to do the Visa :( My friend has just booked Jet and has a luggage allowance of 46kg ! Its on his ticket and he was told that when he booked .

HI imho OMG how terrible you must have been frantic...thats my biggest fear making a mistake like that!!! bet your heart was thumping!! :D we fly Kingfisher and you will have a massive weight allowance with them too about 48kilo or something silly... but we dont get that unfortunately as our flights from Heathrow are returns and when you book from Goa you only get 28 kilos! :really huh discrimination ... i shall be queuing with all those people having great big bags and i will no doubt have a great big bag i am not allowed!! :D

Chilly my first thought was my god i going to have to buy another ticket as the guy said there is no way he can cancel ticket or amend it.He never offered the information that i could call Online help at all.He only said that after i said no way am i going to pay for another ticket and i wanted to talk to the boss. Panic, cause it took over 1 hour to sort it out as when i called online and they said they can change it and will call me back it took ages for them to call back.
I got friends that live out in Goa so i can bring them stuff they want with the 45kg luggage allowance.
I am now at the stage where i am not sure if i want to go now !! I do this every year ,i book it and then think i dont want to go :duh

you know you will love it when you get there!! ;)
