Hi Balders. O'Hara's Bar, facing Piramides reception, will have Cheltenham on TV, but you cannot place a bet there. There is a bookie/pub a ten-minute walk down the road. Head right out of reception, straight on down for 400-500 yards, then left at the road taking you to the church square. Pub is 40 yards up, on the right. Might be called Alfie's.
Former Brighton footballer Roger Wedge also has a licensed bookies in his sports bar, Wedge's, at Fuengirola Port.
By the way, there is a nice beach restaurant opposite Piramides I can heartily recommend for decent food - the Gali Gali.
Hope this helps. Tony.

Was in Alfies last week for the football and the bookies is now a restaurant area, new owners I suppose. The police raided about a dozen other bars at the end of the summer.
There is a licensed bookies just around the corner from the bus station though, on Ramon y Cajal I think and most of the British/Irish pubs on the front nearby will be showing the races.
