I`ve Stayed in Benalmadena and Torremolinos and each time I have had a trip into Fuengirola, both times I have arrived at the train/bus station end and walked towards the sea.Whilst I have enjoyed my visit, I feel that I haven`t seen the best of the town. Visited zoo and had a tapas lunch on one visit. A wander along the prom and shops on another.
Where should I go to see the best bits?
Someone on here as talked about a good restaurant in fish alley,it has a menu of the day.Where is fish alley?
Also, where is the new shopping complex, is it at the back of the town?
Any info would be apreciated
Hi the new shopping complex is near the castle... if you get on the number 4 bus (it will say on front of the bus miramar) this drops you off right outside and they are very frequent. You can catch the bus just down the road from the bus station... There is also a large dunns store near there as well..

get the bus from the station in Fuengirola to Myramar (look for red sign in bus windscreen) that is the shopping mall. It`s at the Castle end of town.
go to the Marina, Fish Alley is at the back of the El Puerto hotel.
You have probably seen the best bits, a visit up to the Castillo is nice.

As Mick says, Fish Alley starts directly behind Hotel Puerto in Calle Moncayo (see map link), just at Pat and Adrian's Scots bar. Lots of restaurants there do menu of the day, and one of the best (at the opposite end of Moncayo) is the Aroma.
On a good, sunny day, I'd much rather be sitting outside El Marinero (far left of the marina looking to sea), tucking in to gambas pil pil, and a plateful of fresh, grilled fish.
The house wines come without a label and are priced accordingly!

I'll be in Fuengirola at the end of May, and I want to hire a reasonably-sized (abot 6 people capacity, not a RIB) powerboat for the day, for up to 500 Euros. I am RYA Powerboat 2 licenced. Internet searching has been pretty poor so far - does anyone know of a powerboat hire company in Fuengirola, or anyone with a powerboat willing to hire out?
Any help much appreciated.
