Where can I start:

Beaches - Amazing
Hotels - Las Palmeras and Hotel Angela
Food - An array of all types of cuisine - my fave being tapas
Weather- Hot hot in july and august
Amazing areas to visit, cheap public transport.
Great views of mountains and good scenery
Lots to see and do
Very cosmopolitan, and a lovely spanish square and cute little churches, not so brit abroad, but still has british things.

I am a frequent visitor and will be there in august, I am not bothered with euro being low, It wont stop me...cant let fuengy down and let the euro dictate me.

If you need any info, areas, restaurants, bars, places to visit etc let me know.

Not to keen on Fuengi itself... although it does have a lot to offer....but Los Boliches nearby is lovely. :sun2

Hi, we went to fuengirola last july, stayed in a private apartment in los boliches, and we absolutely loved the area. We have been to a lot of places in europe and found fuengirola to be quite true to its nationality ( especially los boliches ). The beaches are the best we have so far encountered, public transport is fantastic, so much to do in the way of sightseeing, the restraunts and bars we enjoyed immensly and we thought it was a great all round resort catering for evey age and taste !
Please don't be put off by the comments you've had, try it, you'll be pleasantly delighted ! :tup

Can only confirm what people have said about the area, i normally stay in los boliches but love the whole area. If hiring a car theres several lovely typically traditional pueblos well worth visiting off the beaten track about an hour to hour and half drive away.

Hi

Shopper I am, yep the tuesday market is great, was really hot wandering round there last year in august, I prefer miramar shopping complex, or centre of fuengriola. zara, mango, etc, however thinks things wont be as chesp when I am there in august, wont be buying as much, I normally bring home, tops, dresses, and loads of shoes...also malaga city truly amazing for shopping, but love it for sightseeing also...
