Visited only as side trip from Dubai. Some of the beaches are not that good especially near the Hilton Hotel. Quiet and relaxing sort of holiday I would say.

Fujeira is about a 2 hour drive from Dubai, very quiet, the beacheds around the Al Aqa beach resort are wonderful, lovely clear water, great snorkelling, we tend to have long weekends in Fujeira as we live in Dubai, if you are coming for a two week holiday, I would stay in Dubai and maybe visit fujeira while you are here, its a nice place to relax for a couple of days, but wouldnt keep you entertained for a fortnight.
