Hi all,
not sure if anyone can help but i though it would be worth a try!
We have to go to Cyprus is July for a wedding, but we live in Spain, in Almeria. To fly back to UK then out again is looking at costing us absolute fortunes, due to 2 x return flights for 4 of us and the fact it is the UK school holidays. Does anyone know of another way of us getting to Cyprus from Spain, I cant find any flights directly there from here, but maybe we can fly to elsewhere then get a boat across? If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated!
many thanks
I just searched with Expedia UK site and they offer flights from Almeria to Larnaca via Madrid & Vienna. Quite a number of changes in flights and the cost is £433.90pp
Not sure if it will allow me to copy the details below - but, here goes anyway. I based it on 2nd to 16th July on 2 pax travelling:
Total price for this trip: £867.80
Average price per passenger: £433.90

Just had a very quick search as Spanair is the only airline I can think of right now,but they go from Almeria to Athens(cheaper from Malaga).I assume you've checked who flies out of your local airports anyway.
She flew this morning from Larnaca to Stanstead or it might be Luton but i am sure she said Stanstead. with Globespan and had a 5 hour wait for her Easy jet connection to Malaga.
when i spoke with her this morning she said this was the cheapest route she could find, she also mentioned flying from Larnaca to Germany then on the Spain
I know the http://www.eurocypria.com fly to Germany not sure which other airlines do . Someone mentioned Thomas Cook Condor flys Cyprus to Germany , Sorry she has gone for the month now and i wont be speaking to her until she get s back,
http://www.cypruseastern.com search engine bottom of page and type in Lufthansa you will find postings here with some information that might help/.
http://www.kayak.co.uk is good for these sort of trips. The cheapest and shortest it found was with orbitz.com at £350 for Almeria - Madrid - Vienna - Larnaca taking 17 hours!

Thanks for your replies everyone, from reading everything i think the simplest option is gonna be a flight to london then back out again even though its expensive, thanks again for all your replies.
