Hopefully somebody who has already got married in Kenya can help with this - We are UK passport holders (both divorced) getting married next March in Kenya but I am getting confused about the documentation we need to take other than passports and decree absolutes. On the Kenyan Embassy website it states a certificate of no impediment which is available from a UK register office. The travel firm we are booked through just says vaguely a letter from a legal organisation confirming both parties are unmarried but other websites have stated an affidavit or statutory declaration per person witnessed by a solicitor stating name, address, date of birth, passport number, religion, occupation and declaration of single status. If anybody has already married in Kenya could you advise what you took as obviously I do not want to get there to be told we do not have the correct documents
